Our Hosting Environment
RE Data boasts a state-of-the-art server infrastructure complete with
true “N+1” redundancy. “N+1” means that we literally have at least
one spare for every piece of equipment we have. That means: we
have two firewalls, two groups of switches, at least two servers for
every role, dual power supplies in each server with connections to
two different electrical circuits, two storage controllers, two generators, four air
conditioning/heating units and two connections to the Internet.
Our connection to the Internet does not require leased line circuits from the telephone
company. Our datacenter resides in the building that contains the central office for the
Cleveland area. 911 services for Northeast Ohio reside in the building as well, so our
building is the first to be returned to utility power following an outage.
